My First Blogger Award
What a nice surprise I received today from my blogger friend in Florida, Kat at Justabeachkat! Thank you so much Kat! This is my first award. Now I would like to pass it on to:
Serendepity
Engraved In His Palms
The Famous Mary's
Pat and I have been told many times about Mary's in Strawn, Texas. She is known to have the best chicken fried steak in Texas. We also saw a feature on television about this famous place. Our friends, the Walkers, invited us to join them for dinner, which is near their ranch. It was a 45 minute drive from Hico, but well worth it. I am serious! It was so good and we talked about it for three days and we are going back!

Spring Break Photos
Spring was fun for everyone! Pat and I had some good R&R in Hico. We cleaned trees on the hill. These are pictures above of "before and after". We also enjoyed fishing, and eating!
Sis had a blast in Florida. G finally made it to California after being delayed for one day due to weather here at at DFW Airport. His baggage was lost for three days and was delivered the day before he was to return home. Thanks so much to the Stowes for letting him tag along! Bubba had some down time and played some baseball.
Now it is back to the "real world"!

Congratulations Brianna & Kelton
My niece and nephew, Brianna and Kelton, have worked very hard this year in preparing their goats for the upcoming livestock shows they wil be participating in. Out of six goats they have received grand champion, reserve champion, placement in the preimum sale and also showmanship awards. Sorry, guys, your aunt can't remember the exact details, but I am proud of you! They are at the state show today in Oklahoma City! Good Luck!
Track Season
G thought he would participate in some track and field events for his seventh grade year. He has been running the 300 hurdles, 100 hurdles, and the 800 relay. He has also been in the high jump. He has gotten third and fourth in the past two track meets in the high jump and received a first and third in his heat in the 300 hurdles. Good job G!

Happy Birthday Little Sister!
Happy Birthday Kelly! I am sorry that your birthday was not such a happy one, but know that you are very loved. I can't imagine my life without you. If anyone knows me well, it is you!
Kelly and Brian lost one of their very good friends, Tim Hartman, in a plane crash on March 4th in Oklahoma City. Brian went to school with him in Sayer. He and his wife, Audra and their two boys live five houses down from them and they also went to church together. From the stories I have heard, he was a very devoted Christian, husband, father, son and friend. He was a very funny guy and loved to play jokes on those that he loved. Please remember this family in your prayers.
