Purge So You Can Merge

I know that you can relate. We have to clean out those closets and drawers this time of year because of the Christmas items and a new year! That is what Pat and I have been doing. We started with the garage. Wow! What a difference a storage shed makes. In all of our 23 years of marriage, we have never had a garage this clean. We bought the storage shed nine months ago, but just now getting those garage items moved in to the new shed in the backyard. I must say that we were bragging to our neighbors.

You saw the picture of Petals new organizational fixtures in a previous post. A few days later I cleaned out a closet that is upstairs and hung up sconces and stored containers on the shelves. Get this, Pat actually invited a friend to go upstairs and look at my organized wharehouse. He was impressed!

This last week Pat and I both cleaned out our closets that were way overdue. Only thing is that the boys are not keeping up with our pace. I asked if they could just clean out one drawer a week....still waiting! Sis, how do your drawers and closets look there at your apartment?

Hugs!

My Mom's New Mini & Toy Australian Shepherd Website

Most of yesterday and today (actually still in my pj's at 4:44 pm this Saturday) I have been working on mom's new website. I volunteered this job thinking it would be pretty easy. No, it has been very time consuming and a lot of trial and error, but I have learned a lot. Above are pictures that I am using on her site, and I thought you might enjoy these pictures of her and her pups. The second picture is of Zeb and she is mom's companion and gets to live inside the house. She has a kennel in Oklahoma and has been breeding them now several years. She has over three females and four males that she uses for breeding.

Go by and visit her website at www.aussiestoymini.com and pass the word along if you know of anyone looking for a new dog. The site is, of course, still under construction!

Lunching With Old Friends

I wish I had a picture of my two friends that I had lunch with today. Marcia Boggs, Barbara Weidler and I worked together at Alcon when I started in 1987. I was the youngest of the bunch when I started working with them, and they took me under their wings! When I started working at Alcon in 1987 Sis was just six months old. We have been good friends since and we try to stay in touch throughout the year and get together for lunch every January. Marcia and Barbara are retired now and after visiting with them, retirement sounds pretty good. They particularly enjoy spending time with their grandchildren. I had a great time today and I miss you both!

Hugs!

Petals Is Getting Organized

If you have been upstairs to see my mess of flowers, you will appreciate my purchase! I was able to buy fixtures from a wholesale business that are closing their doors, and they had these stem holders available for $35.00! So, Friday night I started getting organized, but not quite through yet. Petals by Paige is getting busier, so I needed this to jump start my year! Pat calls the second floor my warehouse and refuses to go up there because the mess drives him crazy. I plan to invite him upstairs to see the changes after the organization is done.
