1920's Home Built On Our Place in Hico

I wanted to show you a picture of Mary Vaughn's home when she was a little girl in the 1920's. She contacted Pat soon after we bought the place and was telling him about her memories as a child. Pat invited her over for a reunion with her home site and told Pat many great stories. Part of the rock wall and the old iron gate with a walkway is still there. She sent a letter and a sweet thank you note for her "trip down home". She also sent a copy of the original deed with her letter. Her dad paid approximately $1,000 for the land in 1925.
