"Mylee" wearing her pancreatic awareness collar! |
It is Wednesday night and Pat and I are chillin! We got wild tonight and ordered a hamburger at Myrtles (thanks John for the burgers...you are so sneaky!) We have been good about staying on a healthy diet, but I just knew he needed that burger! Wink Wink! We want you to know that your visits and comments here on our journal mean so much to us! They encourage and lift us. We read and reread them often. Former LD Bell classmates...it just thrills Pat to read where you popped in and said hello! What great memories he has of his high school days with you! I understand that another reunion is in the works! Pat got his blood work early this morning and we will get those results in the morning and we will know if we will be on our way to Tulsa on Friday. Remember that November is Pancreatic Awareness month and we need to wear our purple! I am seeing more and more purple bracelets on your arms! Love it! I am reminded today again what a small world it is. Pat calls me and said that his Mom called him to tell him to turn the TV to Good Morning Texas as there was a doctor talking about Pancreatic Cancer. I tuned in quickly and the doctor was one of Pat's doctors from the Cancer Treatment Center in Tulsa, Dr. Yoder. He was such a nice guy and had a genuine concern for Pat and Pat's desires. You can catch the clip online. Good Morning Texas was also plugging the Purple Stride 5K this coming Sunday in Dallas! Below is the information for the event. I salute you, Miss Riley, my 10-year-old cousin, for running in Pat's honor on Sunday. I need your picture Riley while you are at the race!
The Dallas-Fort Worth Affiliate invites you to join them at their 2nd annual PurpleStride DFW 2010, taking place at their new location, Katy Trail at Reverchon Park!
